Ali Mahmoodian is a Consultant of Mitchell Madison Group and responsible for client development in Austria as well leading the Securities Services practice globally.
Ali brings along 19 years of both consulting and operational experience with a strong focus on the securities and fund business. Ali assists clients in a wide array of areas including regulatory requirements, cost reduction and control such as sourcing custody & brokerage services, organizational design and operational scaling.
Prior to MMG, Ali was Managing Director at Leonteq Securities, a fast growing derivatives boutique, where as head of COO Governance and Change he oversaw various major regulatory projects as well as a broad cost reduction initiative.
Prior to Leonteq, Ali was a management consultant at Accenture and PwC, where he spent over ten years advising local and global financial institutions, on a broad range of regulatory and transformational topics as well as operating model design. As a Director at PwC he led the Strategic Sourcing and Asset Servicing practices for Financial Services Industry.
His professional careers started at the OPEC Fund for International Development, where he worked six years and was awarded operational responsibly as Head Settlement and Custody – a topic that he would maintain an active interest ever since.
Ali holds both a Masters and a Doctorate degree in Computer Science from Vienna University of Technology. Passionate for continuous academic learning, Ali currently undergoes an Executive MBA program at Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
Ali is married and a father of two sons. He loves jogging, playing drums and ancient lute and contemporary publications on philosophy of ethics.
